The Story
Abloom Rosé is the pinnacle of Napa Valley rosé, crafted with intention, precision, and mastery by three acclaimed winemakers: Molly Hill, Ashley Hepworth, and Sally Johnson Blum. With decades of expertise in Cabernet Sauvignon at Napa’s most prestigious wineries, they set out to challenge the status quo—proving that Napa’s terroir can produce world-class rosé with the same rigor as its finest reds.
Molly
Introduced to the food world through a family connection to Julia Child, Molly developed a passion for wine and flavor early on. She studied Viticulture and Enology with a Spanish minor at UC Davis, spending 18 years at Sequoia Grove, where she developed the direct-to-consumer wine program, crafting numerous highly-rated wines, including a Wine Spectator Top 100 wine. During her tenure, she oversaw the construction of the $15 million state-of-the-art winery. Molly has been featured at prestigious wine festivals such as Nantucket Wine Festival, Pebble Beach Food & Wine, Boca Bacchanal, and the Jackson Hole Food & Wine Festival, and now, with her winemaker husband, co-owns GRO Wines, a Swedish-inspired Napa Valley wine brand. She has an MBA from Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley with a certificate in Sustainable Business Management. A Santa Barbara native, she currently lives in a mid-century house in Calistoga with her husband and two children.
Ashley
Ashley Hepworth is an accomplished Napa Valley winemaker with 25 years of experience. At Joseph Phelps Vineyards, under the tutelage of Joe Phelps, she advanced from harvest intern to winemaker, producing many award-winning wines, including the flagship Insignia. Her educational background includes a Biology degree from Fort Lewis College and a Winemaking Certificate from UC Davis, complemented by international experience at Chateau Angelus. Her flavor journey began at Charlie Trotter’s restaurant, where she learned the definition of excellence, before transitioning to winemaking. Currently, she runs AHWC, a wine consulting firm with a dozen clients, and is launching two personal wine brands. A Colorado native, Ashley is an outdoor enthusiast who has summited 14,000-foot peaks and Mt. Kilimanjaro. Beyond her professional achievements, she finds her greatest joy in raising two children with her husband Greg.
Sally
Sally is a consulting winemaker creating wines for clients across Napa Valley, Washington State, Sonoma County, and beyond. Her portfolio includes Tamber Bey Vineyards, Mullan Road Cellars, The Walls, Pàšxa, and several other wineries, along with her own brand Stereograph. With a 15-year tenure at Pride Mountain Vineyards, eight years at St. Francis Winery, and experience at Robert Mondavi and St. Hallett Wineries, she has earned significant industry recognition. Her achievements include two 100-point scores from Robert Parker, five wines on Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines list, and numerous wines served at White House State dinners. Glamour magazine named her one of “10 Badass Women Winemakers,” solidifying her reputation as a top-tier wine consultant. Sally has a dual Bachelor’s degree in French Literature and Biology from the University of Michigan and a Master’s degree in Enology from UC Davis. She grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and currently resides in Sonoma with her husband Max and two children.
